    Super cool. I kind of want one, but there are other things that need those $10000 smackers right now. In other news, I had a lot of trouble with TPU on the stock AB/CW1, but it turns out that somewhere along the line one of the little bearings fell out of the extruder, so it was flapping around a bit too much for the Polymaker TPU-90.

    If they releasing that easy id prob make the gap a little tighter. Its not that this is especially bad but with supports you lose precision the larger the gap you use. It makes the supports easier to remove but you get a better more accurate finish the closer they are. Hence why he has strings on bridges, ganted they can be pretty hard to avoid but with supports it shouldnt be an issue.

      well, considering the part that broke was a part that had nothing to do with the folding mechanism and was an off the shelf part, gonna just chalk it up to "dude on the line made a simple oopsie" it also took 30 sec to fix

    Hate these videos. I'm occasional user of 3d printer. I have old anycubic vyper, i am pretty technical, never had huge drama while printing, but never dialed printer to points like this. Even at slow speeds. Print mostly petg with 0.6 nozzle. And looking even on elegoo neptune 4 series, where 400euro device prints fast and pretty accurate kinda make me wanna buy new printer... But deep inside i know for sure, that prints wont look like this. And sorry but pla is only for decorations and after having enough statues in home, you realise that the times you will print somehing, part must be functional.

    • @CanuckCreator

      Try using a generic 5v USB charger and not one of the smarter new ones, as those require extra circuitry so that it gets the right voltage older chargers or "dumb" chargers just give 5v

    Guys is petg good enough or is petg just a better quality demo filament. I"m finding it hard to pick between petg and abs for projects. When do you use petg and wjen you use abs. Or do you use abs if you can at all times? I figurd you use pla for everything and than when you want to sell something or make something durable you make it in abs. But when so you use petg than?

    • @butre.
      @butre. 2 дня назад

      petg is slightly more flexible and slightly more chemical resistant than abs. abs is a bit stiffer and weighs considerably less than petg. you pretty much shouldn't use petg at all these days, pctg is a straight upgrade in all aspects

What I said is that if you get supports with near zero (unwanted) bonding at something like 0.3-0.5 mm distance from the nozzle (0.1-0.3 mm support distance), the filament being extruded is almost surely cool enough that it's not going to bond well to the previous layer 0.2 mm from the nozzle.

  • @daliasprints9798

    Whether this happens is highly dependent on geometry and what forces are on the parts while they're hot. Decorative items where the extrusion lines ("grain") aren't largely all parallel are fine on a hot black dash 365 days a year. The gears in the drag racer look fine too. It's the thin flat body structures, which look like they were holding the entire weight while hot, that failed.
